This past Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch that is about 3 blocks from our home. The weather has been perfect!
We had a blast playing (getting buried) in the “corn”.
We bought pumpkins and had fun carving them. Ellie’s baby pumpkin!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying Fall as much as we are!
I have not had a chance to show you this room due to my daughter’s wedding and all the chaos associated with it. I have been looking for pictures of the office before but no luck.. let’s just say the colors on the walls before, my kids said it reminded them of an Italian restaurant. In my defense, first time sponge painting and I loved it!
Let’s jump right in shall we?
There were a couple of pieces I was way excited about. One being the Expedit by IKEA. Can you hear the angels singing?
Above is the original bookcases we had in there. You can also admire the colors on the wall. Ha! I was able to sell the 5 bookcases really fast.
Another piece I am super excited about is the desk we got for the space. I originally was looking into a larger desk to put in the middle of the room but I couldn’t pass this one up. A friend sold it to me for only $25.00!
Here is the before:
And the after:
I painted it in English Yellow with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I have been wanting to try the paint for a long time now so I was excited to test it on the desk. I love the brightness of the color and how well it covered. What I love about this paint is that I don’t have to sand the area I am going to work on.
The last picture is of the little dresser we use as storage and to hold the printer.
On the far wall is the window with the curtains I bought at Target a few months ago and this fun chair we bought at IKEA.
On the other wall, I have the bulleting board I had in there before, a beautiful iron sun with mirror, and this beautiful vase with branches I found at our local furniture store RC Willey. Originally, it was marked at $145 but since it has a few cracks, I grabbed it for $10! What a deal!
I found this fun little trio clipboards with the perfect yellow and gray to complement the room at Hobby Lobby and added some pictures. I love this little ottoman too. I found it at Wal-Mart. Here are close-ups too of some of the fun items I have on display on the bookcase.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will do a post of my daughter’s wedding hopefully soon.
