With March being a super busy month, with a birthday every week and all, Spring décor is pretty simple. I am such a recycler so forgive me if you recognize way too many things from last year…
Here is my tablescape:
I told ya, simple. My kids favorite, I fill up a vase with pastel M&M’s and another with jelly beans. As you can imagine, my egg tree is hanging quite sadly as the jelly beans have been devoured. Yes, I did re-use the vases from my daughter’s wedding.
The table runner I bought from my favorite online store, Pick Your Plum. If you have not tried them out yet, please do. They send me a daily e-mail with the specials for the day and I promise they are some super good deals. I have gotten quite a bit of items from them.
I just hung an egg from the front door but I plan to do more as soon as I find the “one”. Ladies, you know what I mean..
Thanks again for stopping by. I have some posts coming up this week that I am super excited about!
Until next time,
Doesn’t it seem as if birthdays come along a lot faster when you are an adult? I remember the excitement I always felt when my birthday came around. I have such great parents and they would make each birthday extra special.
Nowadays gratitude is what I feel in my heart. I am grateful for so many things, especially family and friends. Unfortunately, my husband was out of town for my birthday….. My girls set up some fun surprises for me.
This is what I saw first:
They know my favorite candy in the whole world is a Kit-Kat!
And then I walked into the kitchen and saw this….. not the surprise I was hoping to find. But then they showered me with screams and hugs and all was forgiven.
They decorated my bedroom door and ceiling fan! They also made me a yummy cake. We were able to Face-time Daddy so he could join in on singing Happy Birthday. Truth be told, it was a great birthday celebration. I ended the night with a delicious dinner at Magelby’s with my friends Marlene and Jason.
Thank you for all my sweet birthday wishes on Facebook, texts, and personal calls. I am truly blessed.
Until next time,
As many of you already know, this summer my husband and I will be stepping into a new phase in our lives, that of being grandparents! We are beyond excited! The parents did not want anyone to find out the sex of the baby at the ultrasound. Only her sister Susie and my blog partner Carol knew. Carol took it upon herself to plan out all the decorations and bake the cake! Like always, a gorgeous job!
The theme was a newspaper headline. How cute is the invite?
Carol made a wreath to hang on the front door and used newspaper as the table runners. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted the pictures! Ugh! I was so mad at myself… Let me draw a mental picture for you of the wreath. She made the medallion from newspaper and added a paper in the middle stating that Jose and Stephanie were about to make headlines. Super cute, right? Wish I could have showed you but here is a smaller medallion she made to decorate the walls with:
Carol also baked the cake:
Here is the moment of truth!
What a surprise for most of us there! After having five girls of my own, I assumed it was a girl but nope. We are super excited to meet our baby boy this summer. Thank you to our family and friends that joined us for this special occasion.
A great big THANK YOU to Carol for all the hard work she put into the event.
Until next time,
