I can’t believe our grandbaby will be here in six weeks! In honor of this great life experience, a shower was a must.
I cannot take hardly any of the credit. My contributor, Carol (the amazing), asked if she could plan the shower. I knew she would blow it out of the water, and she did! The theme she chose was “Safari”.
Warning: Long post with lots of pictures!
Let the cuteness begin with the invites and the tag she made for me and Stephanie’s MIL:
This Silhouette machine is so cool! I wish I had one… Anyway, this snazzy machine is what Carol used to make all the cute animal and leaf shapes. Let’s not forget the super sweet flowers! Are the centerpieces so fun! Each table setting also included a favor bag with animal cookies in them.
The “entry” table was Brianna’s desk we dragged from her room adorned with her maternity pix. The guests were invited to write on the baby diapers their suggestions.
Right next to the table was a trunk where the guests left their gifts.
The food was simple yet delicious. My sweet friend Marlene made these yummy chicken salad croissant sandwiches and my sister in law Arely made this delicious fruit salad with the watermelon cut in the shape of a basket. I did the veggie shot glasses and the pasta salad. How cute are those bamboo straws? Even the cups had animals on them! That curtain came in handy to protect the food from the sun too.
The cake was homemade by Carol. It was so good!
What’s a shower without games (besides an Open House)? We had the guests make babies out of play-doh. These two cuties were the winners:
We also had 4 volunteers blindfolded with one feeding the baby food to the other:
Thanks for stopping by,
